First Black Man to win a Seat in Germany Parliament
They were among 34 lawmakers with immigrant backgrounds to win seats in Sunday's election, up from 21 in the previous term, said the Migration Media Service, a group that provides facts and figures on immigration in Germany.
Although nearly one in five of Germany's 80 million people are immigrants, or the children or grandchildren of immigrants, relatively few have made it into the federal legislature. Until now there were no black lawmakers in Parliament, despite more than 500,000 people of recent African origin believed to be living in Germany.
"My election into the German Parliament is of historical importance," said Karamba Diaby, a Senegalese-born chemist who moved to the city of Halle in 1986 after receiving a scholarship to study in communist East Germany.
The 51-year-old, who gained German citizenship in 2001, said his priority would be to promote equal opportunities in education. "Every child born in Germany should have the chance to be successful in school regardless of their social background or the income of their parents," he said.
The other black lawmaker elected Sunday was Charles M. Huber, a 56-year-old actor born in Munich to a Senegalese father and a German mother. Huber is a member of Chancellor Angela Merkel's Christian Democratic Union, which won the election with 41.5 percent of the vote.
Merkel's party also now has its first Muslim lawmaker in the Bundestag. Cemile Giousouf was elected in the western town of Hagen. The 35-year-old was born in Germany to Turkish immigrant parents.
I predict a Nigerian will win a seat in Germany sooner or later .

Grand Theft Auto V
Take-Two Interactive Software, the publisher of the game, said those first-day sales were the biggest for the company and the Grand Theft Auto series, which seems to have lost little appeal although the first edition was released 16 years ago.
The last major version of the game, Grand Theft Auto IV, had $310 million in opening day sales in 2008, and more than $500 million in its first week.
Grand Theft Auto V generated more than $800 million in sales on its first day on store shelves.
The new version has received glowing reviews, including from The New York Times, which called it the "best plotted, most playable, character-driven, fictionally coherent entry" in the history of the series.
Most reviews gave the Game a Five Star Ratings .

"The FRIEND Zone"
Recently, A female friend put on her Personal Message on blackberry " The Best Person to Marry is your FRIEND". That caught my attention and being inquisitive, I probed further. You see, You people don't know what you want and you people usually put your friend whom you intend to marry or has deep feelings for you in a friend zone, I said. She laughed out Loud and replied; some friends outgrow that zone and They grow from being an ordinary friend to extra ordinary friend. Hmmn! EXTRA ORDINARY? I pray I have that patience, because its not in my dictionary for matters like this. I tried to probe Further but she declined saying I might use it as an Article and publish on the blog, see what blogspot has caused me, when am not linda Ikeji, neither am I Laila's blog. Anyway, she did inspire me to consult some 'Elders', do some Research and consult the 'ORACLES' of love. So if you are reading this, you know yourself, thank you for the little inspiration and am going to spit fire on it. I will say it as it is.
Oh no! You're in love. But the object of your affection thinks of you as more of a brother or sister than anything else. While it's notoriously hard to get out of the "friend zone", if you really want to escape, follow these little but Effective steps. Although, it might not work for some . But it is a good start.
1# Break the "nice guy" or "sweet girl" stereotype. Nah you nice pass! You are what the girls call MUGU or What the guys call NEEDY Most guys and girls who find themselves in the "friend zone" are usually susceptible to many of the characteristics of the "nice guy" or "sweet girl" stereotype. This means pretty much someone who wants to avoid making other people uncomfortable at any cost, but does so usually at their own expense by not communicating their own needs. Where you're romantically attracted to someone, but you don't want to "pressure" them into a relationship, or "ruin" the friendship by expressing your interest or making a move, you'll end up holding back in a variety of ways. The trouble is, when you make other people's feelings more important than your own (instead of finding that happy balance), you're unconsciously communicating to people that your own feelings don't matter. This may make it seem like you have low self-worth, which is the opposite of confidence.
While some people are attracted to ever agreeable mates, the person who assigned you to the "friend zone" probably is not. If nothing else, inaction tells the other person that you're simply not interested (chances are, even if they never felt attracted to you, they wondered about your intentions). MOVE ON......and don't be friends with the next person you fall for. #Oracle#
2# Stop being needy. One of the reasons you might be interested in this person more than they are into you is because you are giving off signals that you really want to be in a relationship! You might be coming off as a little desperate, which is quite the attraction killer. You might be rushing things emotionally and maybe physically, you might also be placing this person on a pedestal, because you're so caught up in the idea of the relationship, that you're quick to assume this person is "perfect".
Examine your own neediness. In one word, relax. There will always be many more encounters besides this one, "Many fishes in the river" so stop treating it like the last one you'll ever have. Also, don't force yourself to reveal your hopes for intimacy, let your actions display your confidence and speak for itself.
3# Think about the difference between a friendship and a romantic relationship. If you think a romantic relationship should just be a great friendship with physical intimacy thrown into the mix, then it's understandable to look for common ground first, and wait for the physical attraction to kick in sooner or later. Be CAREFUL, not everyone sees relationships this way. Some people expect a "boyfriend" or "girlfriend" to play a particular role in their lives in order for physical attraction to emerge. The person who you want to be more than friends with probably makes a bigger distinction between "friend" and "romantic partner" than you do. Realize that many people (both male and female) expect to be courted in some way. And many psychological issues play out in the relationship arena that don't ever arise in friendships. Some people, for example, look for a romantic partner who can play more of a parental role than a friend would.
Figure out what the person you're pining for wants in a boyfriend or girlfriend. Then decide whether you want to be that for them.
Note that some people are attracted to toxic relationships. If your love interests keeps getting involved with people who treat them badly, despite your advice, you might just have to accept that they're working through some issues. You could spend your entire life waiting for them to "see the light" or you could move on and find someone who actually (through their actions, not their words) wants a healthy relationship.
4# Break the touch barrier. I said this earlier in "Ten Commandments of Sexiness " on the blog . For many people, a big distinction between "friendship" and "relationship" is the way they touch. There are platonic ways to touch someone, and romantic ways, and the boundary is different for different people. But if you're terrified of touching someone the wrong way, to the extent that you hesitate and never touch them first, your intentions may be good but your "touch paralysis" isn't helping you at all in the romantic department. Take a few little "touch risks". Reach for their hands, hair, shoulders, ankles, and back. Don't just always wait for them to do it first. If they don't like it, they'll definitely let you know. But touching someone communicates to them that you find them attractive, and also that you're reasonably confident. Both of these things can make someone feel more attracted to you. As for Me, if I like Someone, I will Touch , I will Whisper, I will Hold, I will Touch, I will Touch, I will Touch and Touch.
Note that some people are very affectionate with their friends; the person you're interested in might be all about cuddling with you, and think nothing more of it than friendliness, while you feel like you're getting mixed signals. At some point the person you are interested in needs to give out or give in. If they don't, MOVE ON.... Am speaking from experience, MOVE ON...you will find out its not BIG DEAL when you use your head to think, not your heart. Later on, Thank me with a Return Ticket to "The Bahamas" *winks*.
5# Realize that you're "tying up" your feelings by staying friends with someone who isn't romantically interested in you. In the instance where you've already followed the previous steps and you've left your pushover habits behind, you've stepped up the role that he or she is looking for in a relationship, and you've crossed the touch barrier, but this person still wants to be "just friends", you'll need to make some hard decisions. Maybe they're simply not attracted to you, for reasons you'll never know. But you still have feelings for them. Is it wise to continue spending time with them? I say NO!
Consider that it'll be difficult to develop feelings for someone else if your feelings for this person are fueled every time you hang out. You'll struggle with feelings of jealousy and frustration when that person dates. Consider that even if you do manage to develop feelings for someone else, your heart might always be torn and confused, and it'll be hard to give your new flame your undivided affection.
Sometimes, the best thing to do is to take the friendship down to the level of acquaintance. The person might feel offended, perhaps it will seem as if you don't value them as just a friend, but remember (and explain to them if necessary) that you can't control how you feel, just like they can't control how they feel,I once was MONKEYING (Liked) for this babe while I was serving, she liked me too because she did a background search on me. But I was dulling then. maybe I was forming too busy or actually I was busy. But at the end, it didn't work out and she had a new dude. When I came back to my senses, it was late. I tried all I could but it wasn't going to be. So I sidelined her and she didn't bother also. Then one faithful day we crossed path. She said ' Yemi you are still my Firend' and I fired back.Friend Bawo, Mi O Raiye Friend Zone' meaning 'Which Friend? I don't have time for Such' we can talk but only once in a blue moon or when its necessary. As long as I came to you and it didn't work out, we are not friends. We are better off as ACQUAINTANCE. I choose whom I want to become friends with. Am a little Blunt or Harsh right? But that's me. Take Me as I am, like WYCLEF said !
Finally, You need to make room in your life and heart for someone who feels about you the way you feel about them. You remember Mario's hit song? Baby, You got what I need, but you say am just a FRIEND ! Girl you say am Just A FRIEND..... *Drops Microphone*

Whose HOUSE Really?
If a couple intend to get properties or assets, in who's name should it be? I hope we have lawyers who can shed more light on this.
Here's the story:
A man gave his wife some money to buy them a new house, since he could afford it, especially now when he has started "making it". Prior to this time, they lived in Ajegunle, and when ever it rained, the house got flooded, and live was never fun during the *rainy* seasons. She finally got them a three bedroom flat at ketu area, arguably a lagos exterior, they moved in without further delay, launching into a new episode of their lives.
This phase surely marked the begining of a new marital adventure.
Nife(wife) was a fun lover, she made new aso-ebi, friends and attended parties almost every weekend in order to keep up with her clique. Whenever Tunji (her husband) confronted her, she would pick up quarrels with him which either left the pair nagging all day or most often fighting and throwing abusive words at each other. Six months down the line, Tunji asked his wife to create some space, (space? Yes) move out of the house as he could no longer tolerate her new found habit of sleeping out every weekend, and she doesn't appear like she was ready for a change of character.
Tunji asked his wife to pack out of his house, and he got the shocker of his life. It all seemed a joke to him when she told him him point blank that he should be the one moving out, as the house was her's and not he's. As far as the matter was concered the joke angle could only be seen by Tunji, there was no iota of joke found anywhere in Nife's words or action.
Barely 24hrs after Tunji's pronouncement, she left the house to return with two fierce looking police men who would isten to no words but bundled Tunji into their waiting van. Alas she had reported in her statement that attempted and is still in the want-to-do of selling her house. This, Tunji refuted with disgust, claiming he owned the house and only gave his wife the money to purchase it on his behalf, since he wanted to allow her buy her choice and taste. On arrival at the police station, he was asked to provide the receipt of the house in order to prove his claims, but he couldn't, since the said receipt has always been in the custody of his wife.
The officers ordered that the reciept be produced without delay, as there were other pending cases in que at the police station.
A collapse was the least that could happen to Tunji as his wife of 10yrs presented a house reciept because it wasn't carrying her full and complete names, not even his surnmame Ajagbe appeared on that reciept.
*Sigh*, obviously he had no evidence to show that he owned or paid for the apartment in question. Cutting this story to fit time, he was given a 24hr ultimatum to move out or risk tough legal sanctions.
We all know in this part of the world that the trend is; threatening the woman to leave the house, while the man lay claims to the properties, unlike in the western world where the woman asks the man to leave. Call it cultural shock or Tradition , you might have your candid reasons.
We all know there is a strife among couples nowadays, bothering about who's name properties should be bought in. The seperate account syndrome, seperate bedroom idea, and lots of insecurity can be found in many homes today. Let's not dare go into the secrets and scandals that characterize many marriages.
...Back to the story,
How Tunji would handle this shock I don't know. But again, I ask myself, what if it was the other way round?
The way marriages are designed nowadays or should I say the rationale behind most of these marriages is based on falsehood, lies and hidden agendas. I am not going into marriage today. But, I feel the matter should not have gotten this far.
Maybe, they should have bought the property in the children's name?
Maybe they should have explored the Mr & Mrs option? We can all but debate.
One thing is certain, this will not go down easily without a fight, be it Physical, spiritual or Emotional.
Its a quest for the real house owner... One criminal is about getting justice, another is going down.
Who owns this house?, and on what basis should either of them be condemned to a jail term if they should?
In whose name should a couple's properties be bought???

My Husband's SECRET (Thrilling)
My name is olaide and am married to a very successful&wonderful handsome man and we have been married for 3 years with a beautiful daughter. Don't let me bore you with plenty introductions.
On the 3rd of june 2012 my husband had a meeting in lagos that he had to attend and of course all arrangements had been made regards flights which was Dana airline, I took him to the airport to board the plane and he called that he was sitted and told me he loved me that I should expect his call as soon as he gets to lagos and unknowingly for me my husband bribed his way out of the aircraft and went to his mistress's house but some few hours later a breaking news appeared on the Television that a certain Dana airline from abuja had crashed in Agege area of lagos, I had never been scared in my whole entire life as my heart just melted right infront of me, the questions running through my mind was could it be his plane??? It turned out it was his plane.
I immediately picked up my fone and dialled his number and it rang. With great joy ,I felt relieved. low and behold a female voice answered and said my husband was still in abuja with her. Apparently, they were not aware of the Crash that happened. I had mixed feelings. SHOCK,JOY,ANGER,BETRAYAL & HAPPINESS rushed through my brain. I have never suspected my husband to have an affair but after some months of serious investigation, I uncovered so many filthy secrets and that lady that picked up his phone happened to be just one of his numerous mistresses. He doesn't keep late nights, he doesn't drink and he doesn't smoke. Our sex life has been very great. In fact, I call him the JAGABAN on Bed. Yet he could do this to me. I have tried to raise the issue but he said he misplaced his phone at the airport and one of the attendants who's voice I heard, picked it up.
His story was too good to be true and because of the sensitivity of the air crash involving life and death, I decided to drop it. Not that am not grateful he's alive, but I feel resentment and have been taken for a fool. I am hurt deep down and am only waiting for the right moment. Now I ask myself do I call that lady an angel and thank her or what???????
Infidelity is a Norm in our society. Especially if its coming from the male counterpart. I wonder what this woman is going through now. Will she forgive and forget? Even if the man is ready to make ammendments and forsake his old ways. But I always ask myself this question; if I have the Prettiest, Hardworking ,Caring and Loving wife, will I still cheat? Some of you might argue with my answer either I say Yes or No. I do not know why some of these things happen. Maybe I should wait till I wear the shoe right? Time will tell.........

Beyonce takes Ivy Carter to visit North West
While North is only a few weeks old, one-year-old Blue is said to be interested in babies, so Beyonce brought her along when visiting the new mum and dad. A report from a foreign news paper states that Bey and Jay Z also reportedly splashed out on £5000 worth of lavish gifts for baby North including Christian Dior baby booties.
''Kanye is one of Jay-Z's closest friends so he wanted to get the best gift," a source told the newspaper. "They've had a girl themselves, so they know the right type of present."
''They also brought their baby girl Blue Ivy to come over and meet North," they revealed, ''She's old enough now to be really interested in babies.''
