Her new title will be Miss Adele Adkins MBE, which stands for member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire.
The 25-year-old mother of one looked picture perfect in a £945 Stella McCartney midnight blue prom dress as she collected her MBE from The Prince of Wales.
Adele was clearly delighted with the honour. Prince Charles pinned the medal to her chest then shook her hand. They chatted for several minutes after that.
Speaking after the presentation, Adele said her visit to Buckingham Palace to receive her MBE was a 'very posh' affair.
The singer said: 'It was an honour to be recognised and a very proud moment to be awarded alongside such wonderful and inspirational people. Very posh indeed.'
Her immaculate nails were painted royal blue and the nails on the ring fingers of both hands featured tiny silver-coloured crowns decorated with red stones. Adele looked very stylish and suitably dressed for the occasion.
Adele appeared to have a severe case of the giggles as she walked away after meeting Prince Charles.
